Yeast: SIHA-Active Yeast-4 (S. bayanus, strain
CH 158)-a very reliable yeast with typical champagne
flavors with apple and nutty aromas. Excellent for
re-starting stuck fermentations.
SIHA-Active Yeast-7 (S. cerevisiae, strain D
576)- Flavor yeast, terpene liberating, high β-gluconase
activity excellent for Muscat, Gewürztraminer,
Sauvignon Blanc, and late harvest wines.
SIHA-Active Yeast-8 (S. cerevisiae, strain WF
748)- Rapid starting yeast for red wines. Full
bodied and high color wines with typical red berries
like cassis. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Zinfandel
SIHA-Active Yeast 10 Red Roman (S. cerevisiae)-
Specially suited for red wine production with high
alcohol tolerance, rapid fermentation, increased
sense-affecting polysaccharides with killer
properties against wild strains. Cabernet Sauvignon,
Syrah and Zinfandel
SIHA- Cryarome (S. cerevisiae)-combines excellent
cool fermentation features with aroma liberation.
Produces crispy and spicy wines. Riesling, Chenin
Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillion.
SIHA-Varioferm (S. cerevisiae)- a combination of
D4, SF8 and U17 for reliable and pure fermentation
without negative taste influences. Produces wines
with more finesse and complexity. Chardonnay, Pinot
Blanc, Pinot Gris and for barrel fermented wines.
